About the Pindaya Lake
 Our hotel is located on the spot of which is related to a rigorous
legendary story. It is not completed to say about Pindaya without
describing the beautiful lake named "Naga-pattan-pone-ta-loke" which is
reputed for its' three distinguish features;
- This is the lake the bird called "Hintha", the royal duck never land.
- This is the lake with the clear water without dirt's.
- This is the lake the lotus flower never grow.
Just imagine, how beautiful of the lake is!
There is also a huge, and long lime stone cave nearby which has an
immense historical value.
In days or yore...
The Seven daughters of Deva, the king of celestial being come down to
the human abode, and discovered a lake, and they could not help
admiring, and eager to have a bath in it. So they undress their cloths,
paraphernalia, kept it inside the Cave, and they happily enjoyed the
water, then.
After few hours, they went up into the cave with full of satisfaction of
bathing, dressed up swiftly, and prepared to go up their celestial
abode.
Unluckily, the entrance of the cave was blocked by huge, and strong
spider who had already built up its' net. The Seven daughters were
captured, and asked for the help with crying and weeping. Unfortunately
no one had dare to fight against the Spider, the Hercules.
Days and nights passed away, and the information was handed over to a
young price called "Sud-dha-nu" who came out from his palace for the
hunting. The prince deadly fought against the Big spider by shooting his
Bow, and arrows. Finally, the conquer was the prince, he could defeat
the big spider with his arrow, and he proclaimed in the air "I got the
big spider dead" which meant "Pin-ku-ya" in Burmese Language, and the
seven daughters were set free by then. The spot where the prince
conquered the big spider also became the small settlement for the people
living today. As a token of their gratitude towards the prince, the
youngest daughter gave her ring to the prince, and the later was the
continuation of the story anyone can ask to the people you meet there.
When the time passed, the evolution took place, and the small settlement
called "Pin-ku-ya" was no exception, and the name has been changed into
"Pin-da-ya" what is now known as today.

Pindaya, the small town is an exotic destination in southern shan state
due to the dwelt of many ethnic minorities; PaO, Paluang, Taungyoe, and
Danu.. 
Most of the people in and around Pindaya are Danu, and Taungyoe tribes
who are very fond of smoking and chewing special made betel leaves. You
will be wondering to study how the Cheroot is made at nearby
Nget-phyaw-taw village.
However the invasion of westernize folding umbrella prevails, the
traditional bamboo umbrella is still popular among the tribes.
